About The Block Of Time

The Block Of Time can be used for any of the services provided by NS Computing. It covers everything from planning and installation, to on-going support and Internet design work. It is a simple and flexible approach to obtaining professional computer services, no matter what you might need.

Advantages

Unlike typical support contracts, the Block Of Time can be applied toward a wide variety of services over an unspecified period of time. There is no "use it or lose it" deadline, nor are they any terms that limit its use to certain types of services or products. All of the services provided by NS Computing can be billed against the Block Of Time. If more time is needed than was initially contracted for, an additional Block Of Time can be purchased at the same discounted rate.

Time is accurately tracked for each use of the Block Of Time, and you receive a statement for each support activity, indicating the type of service performed, the amount of time used, and the time remaining under the current contract.

Cost

A Block Of Time is sold in 10-hour increments. You get a more as 20% discount off of the our average hourly rate if you buy one or more blocks. This lowers the hourly rate to $64 per hour or a savings of $16 to $26 per hour (depends of type of service provided). One Block Of Time Costs $640. See our price list for more Information.

Hours bought on the Block Of Time plan can also be used to cover URGENT (4-hour response time) or mission-critical EMERGENCY (2-hour response time) support calls, along with Standard non-critical calls. Hours will be deducted from the Block Of Time in relation to the response-time requested: Urgent responses are billed at time-and-a-half rates; Emergency responses are billed at double-time. Customers are not charged at the higher rate if the response-time is quicker than requested.

Hourly rates pricing applies to normal business hours, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM. Activities before 8:00 AM and after 5:00 PM, weekdays, will be billed at 1.5 hours per worked. Work performed on Saturday will at double time, work performed on Sunday & Holidays will be billed at triple time. Each on-site service call will be assessed time for trip charge ( 0.25 or 0.5 hours of standard rate, depends of your location).

THE COMPUTER MAINTENANCE PLAN
What does a Maintenance Plan include:
  • One visit every month to check the computer system, clean and maintain the Computer and accessories.
  • Forward planning of maintenance visits to prevent time conflicts with what you or your staff is doing.
  • Advance reminders of maintenance visits.
  • One Free Emergency call out per month with response time within 2 hours during business hours (non accumulative). If our Technician is unable to repair on-site within 1 hour, the machine is returned to our workshop for repair. You normally pay business standard support rate for hours worked.
  • Free pick up and return of equipment.
  • One single call to NS Computing is all it needs to ensure prompt service.
Maintenance Contracts are available costing less than $25 per PC per month. The more computers, the cheaper it is. Please, read our price list for more details.
